थान - मंदिर

प्रवीण के पिता को अपना गाँव ढूँढने में बडी मशक्कत लगी, क्योकिं वो खुद बचपन में एक बार अपने पिता के साथ ही आ पाये थे, उसके बाद उनका भी आ पाना संभव नही हुआ।

प्रवीण के बूबू ( दादा ) को किसी जमाने में कोई अंग्रेज अपने साथ साउथ अफ्रीका ले गया था, शायद वो अंग्रेज तब इन पहाड़ों में अधिकारी रहा होगा, फिर वहाँ से साउथ अफ्रीका चल दिया होगा, तब से प्रवीण का पूरा परिवार वहीं रहा।

वही पर रच बस गया था प्रवीण का परिवार, प्रवीण के पिता का जन्म भी वहीं हुआ था ओर प्रवीण तीसरी पीढ़ी का सदस्य था, जो की वहीं जन्मा,दादा शायद नौकरी करते थे, ओर पिता ने पढ़ लिख कर खुद का काम शुरू किया, कुल मिलाकर अच्छा खासा संपन्न परिवार था उन लोगों का।

पर कहते हैं ना की जन्मभूमि बुलाती जरूर है, खासकर पहाड़ की तो, ऐसा ही कुछ प्रवीण के परिवार के साथ भी हुआ, ओर उन्हें भी बरसों बाद पहाड़ आना पड़ा।

हुआ ये की प्रवीण के परिवार में अचानक विपत्ति आ गई, उसके पिताजी की तबीयत ना जाने क्या खराब हुईं की, लाख ईलाज करवा लिया पर बीमारी समझ नही आई डाक्टरों को, सब हताश हो गये, प्रवीण के पिता की दशा निरंतर बिगड़ती चली जा रही थी।

प्रवीण के घर वालों को समझ नही आ रहा था की वो क्या करे, उसी बीच उनकी मुलाकात एक ऐसे व्यक्ति से हुई, जो की पहाड़ का ही रहने वाला था,ओर उनके पड़ौस में ही रहने के लिये आया था।

उस व्यक्ति ने जब प्रवीण के पिता की हालत देखी तो ,उसने शंका जाहिर की के हो सकता है ये आपके देवी देवताओं की वजह से हो, क्योकिं आप लोग कभी गाँव उन्हें पूजने नही गये होंगें, ओर फिर उस व्यक्ति ने कहा ,मेरे होटल में एक शैफ है ,जो की पहाड़ का है, वो इस बारे में थोडा़ जानता है, कल मैं उसे लेकर आता हूँ, शायद कुछ पता लगे की ये क्यों हो रहा है, प्रवीण के घरवाले तुरंत मान गये ओर उस व्यक्ति को बुलाने के लिये राजी हो गये।

एक दो दिन बाद वो आदमी उस शैफ को ले आया, जिसके बारे में उसने प्रवीण के घर वालों को बतलाया था, उस व्यक्ति ने आते ही कुछ सिक्के व चावल तथा राख माँगी, प्रवीण की माँ ने चावल व मंदिर में जलाई अगरबत्ती की राख उस व्यक्ति को दे दी,उस व्यक्ति ने उक्त सभी चीजों को लेकर कुछ बुदबुदाते हुये, अपना काम करना प्रारम्भ किया, ओर फिर प्रवीण के पिता के माथे पर राख चावल का टीका लगा दिया।

प्रवीण के घर वाले ये सब पहली बार होते देख रहे थे, टीका लगाने के बाद वो व्यक्ति प्रवीण की माँ से बोला, आपके गाँव के देवता का प्रकोप है, आप शायद कभी नही गये वहाँ, इसलिए छह महीने के भीतर जाकर कुल देवता के मंदिर में जाकर पूजा करके आईये सब ठीक हो जायेगा, साहब आज से ही ठीक होने लग जायेंगे, बस आप छह महीने के भीतर पूजा जरूर करके आना।

शाम होते होते प्रवीण के पिता काफी ठीक से लगने लग गये,ये देख प्रवीण की माँ ने ईश्वर का धन्यवाद किया ओर तय किया की, कैसे भी करके छह माह के अंदर कुल देवता के मंदिर में पूजा करके आयेंगे, पर समस्या ये आ खड़ी हुईं की उन्हें ठीक से अपने गाँव का अता पता नही था।

इधर प्रवीण के पिता पूरी तरह ठीक हो चुके थे, बिल्कुल पहले की तरह, अब उन्हें देख कर कोई नही कह सकता था की ,ये कुछ दिन पहले तक बेहद बीमार थे।

प्रवीण के पिता जल्द से जल्द गाँव जाकर  मंदिर में जाकर पूजा पाठ करना चाहते थे, इसलिए उन्होने हाथ पैर मारने शुरू किये ओर बडी मशक्कत के बाद उन्हें एक रिश्तेदार का फोन नंबर मिल पाया ,जो की दिल्ली बसा हुआ था, उससे बात की ओर अपने साथ गाँव तक चलने को कहा, क्योकिं प्रवीण औरों के परिवार में से कोई भी, अपने गाँव के बारे में नही जानता था, प्रवीण के पिता एक बार जरूर गये थे, पर वो भी बचपन में, उन्हें भी अब गाँव याद नही के बराबर था।

दिल्ली वाले रिश्तेदार की सहमति मिलते ही प्रवीण के पिता ने पहाड़ जाने का प्रोग्राम तय किया ओर इस तरह वो निकल पड़े भारत की ओर, दिल्ली पहुँच कर अपने रिश्तेदार के घर गये ,ओर दूसरे ही दिन गाडियों से निकल पड़े गाँव की ओर,उन्हें सबसे पहले अल्मोड़ा पहुँचना था, ओर फिर वहाँ से तीन घन्टे की दूरी पर उनका गाँव था,रिश्तेदार साथ होने से परेशानी नही आई, दूसरे दिन प्रवीण, प्रवीण के पिता गाँव की ओर निकल पड़े ताकि पूजा की तैयारी की जा सके।

तीन घन्टे के सफर के बाद तीनों गाँव पहुँच गये, गाँव रोड से एक किलोमीटर ऊपर की ओर बसा था, यानी गाँव तक पैदल ही जाना था, तीनों निकल पड़े गाँव की ओर, प्रवीण ने देखा की आसपास के नजारे बेहद आकर्षक हैं, ऊँचे ऊँचे पर्वत, चारो तरफ हरियाली, वो मँत्रमुग्ध सा हो उठा था, उसने कभी सोचा नही था की उसका गाँव इतना खूबसूरत हो सकता है, बस थोडा़ पैदल चलने में कठिनाई महसूस हो रही थी, पर आसपास का माहौल ऐसा था की, वो चुभ नही रहा था।

आखिरकार तीनों गाँव पहुँच गये, उनके साथ आया रिश्तेदार उन्हें अपने घर ले गया, घर पुरानी स्टाईल का था, पहाड़ी शैली से बना हुआ, आज भी अपनी शान बान के साथ खडा था, रिश्तेदार ने बताया की ,वो हर साल गर्मियों में यहाँ आता रहता है, इसलिए ये मकान आज भी अच्छी कंडीशन में है।

रिश्तेदार के मकान में कुछ देर आराम करने के बाद, प्रवीण का रिश्तेदार ग्राम प्रधान को बुला लाया, ओर फिर उसे आने का प्रयोजन बतलाया, ओर गाँव के थान में पूजा करने के लिये आवश्यक चीजों के बारे में बात करी,ग्राम प्रधान ने पूजा की पूरी व्यवस्था करने का आश्वासन दिया ओर पूरी जिम्मेदारी ले ली।

प्रवीण के पिता ने कल सपरिवार, गाँव आने के वादे के साथ विदा ली, ओर फिर से अल्मोड़ा लौट आये।

इधर प्रवीण को गाँव इतना भाया की वो उसकी यादों में ही मशगूल दिखा, दूसरे दिन सुबह होते ही, सबके सब फिर से निकल पड़े गाँव की ओर, गाँव वालों ने रिश्तेदार के मकान में उनके ठहरने का इंतजाम करा हुआ था।

ग्राम प्रधान ने बताया की आज रात देवता का जागर होगा ओर फिर अगले दिन मंदिर  में पूजा होगी।

रात में जागर हुआ, देवताओं का आवहान किया गया, गलतियों के लिये माफी माँगी गई, ओर भविष्य में आकर पूजा करते रहने का संकल्प लेते हुये, अपनी मातृभूमि से जुड़े रहने का वादा हुआ प्रवीण के परिवार द्वारा।

दूसरे दिन सुबह सबने नहा धो कर तैयार हो गये, ओर मंदिर की ओर गाजे बाजे के साथ  प्रस्थान किया, ढोल किनडी, शंख इत्यादि की धुन प्रवीण को मदहोश किये हुये थी, उसके शरीर का रोम रोम उठा हुआ था, उसके साथ कभी ऐसा नही हुआ था, उसे लग रहा था, जैसे वो किसी ओर दुनिया में हो, आखिरकार यात्रा थान मंदिर  तक पहुँची।

मंदिर देखते ही प्रवीण भौचक्का रह गया, क्योकिं वो जिस मंदिर के विशाल होने  की कल्पना कर रहा था,वो बेहद छोटा सा मंदिर था, वो भी बिल्कुल साधारण तरह से बना हुआ, वो समझ नही पा रहा था की, क्या ये वो मंदिर है, जिसने सात समुन्दर पार से, उसके पूरे परिवार को यहाँ बुलाया,वो आश्चर्यचकित था, इस छोटे से मंदिर की शक्ति को देख कर।

मंदिर पहुँच कर पूजा पाठ शुरू हुईं, पूरा गाँव पूजा में सम्मलित हुआ, धूमधाम से पूजा संपन्न हुईं, फिर सारे गाँव ने थान में बने प्रसाद का भोज किया,  प्रवीण का पूरा परिवार खुश था, प्रवीण को तो थान में बने प्रसाद रूपी खाना इतना टेस्टी लगा की पूछो मत, जमीन पर बैठ कर, मालू के पत्तों की बनी पत्तल पर डला खाना, इतना टेस्टी हो सकता है, उसने सोचा नही था।

 पूजा संपन्न होने के बाद शाम को ,प्रवीण के पिता ने गाँववालों को बुलवाया, ओर अपनी तरफ से गाँव के लिये कुछ करने की इच्छा जाहिर की, ग्राम प्रधान ने स्कूल व पानी की समस्या होने की बात बतलाई, प्रवीण के पिता ने तब कहा, पहले तो एक किलोमीटर वाले रास्ते को सड़क जितनी चौड़ी करी जाये, जिसमें लगने वाला खर्चा वो देंगें,साथ ही स्कूल में जितने कमरों की जरूरत है वो बनायें ओर पानी की समस्या के लिये जिस स्रोत से पानी लाते हैं, वहाँ से गाँव तक पाईप डाले जाये ,ताकि गाँव में पानी पहुँच सके, इन सब कार्यो में जो भी खर्च होगा वो मेरी तरफ से वहन होगा, आप लोग दो चार दिन में इन सारी चीजों पर होने वाले खर्चे की जानकारी मुझे दें।

ये सुनकर सारा गाँव खुश हो उठा, सब प्रवीण के पिता की जय जयकार करने लगे, तब प्रवीण के पिता बोले इसमें जय जयकार करने जैसी कोई बात नही है, मेरी मातृभूमि का हक है की वो अपने सक्षम बेटे से, अपने लोगों के लिये कुछ काम करने के लिये कहे, ओर मैं भी यही कर रहा हूँ।

एक आध हफ्ता गाँव में बीताने के बाद प्रवीण के पिता ने, गाँव के विकास योजनाओं का उद्धघाटन किया ओर फिर से लौट पड़े अपनी कर्मभूमि की ओर,  इस वादे के साथ की दो चार सालों में यहाँ आता रहूँगा।

काश ऐसे हर कोई सम्पन प्रवासी अपनी जन्मभूमि के लिये सोचता तो, पहाड़ के कई गाँवों का उद्धार हो जाता।

Temple

 Praveen's father found it very difficult to find his village, because he himself was able to come with his father only once in his childhood, after that it was not possible for him to come.

 Praveen's grandfather was taken by an Englishman to South Africa , perhaps that Englishman must have been an officer in these Uttrakhand then, then he would have gone to South Africa from there, since then Praveen's entire family lived there.

 Praveen's family was settled there, Praveen's father was also born there and Praveen was a member of the third generation, who was born there, grandfather probably used to work, and father started his own work by ,  they had a very prosperous family.

 But it is said that the birthplace definitely calls, especially the Uttrakhand, the same thing happened with Praveen's family, and he too had to come to the Uttrakhand after years.

 It happened that there was a sudden calamity in Praveen's family, his father's health did not know that he got lakhs of treatment, but the doctors did not understand the disease, everyone got frustrated, Praveen's father's condition is deteriorating continuously.

 Praveen's family members did not understand what to do, in the meantime he met a person who was a resident of the uttrakhand, and had come to live in his neighborhood.

 When that person saw the condition of Praveen's father, he expressed his doubt that it may be because of your gods and goddesses, because you people would never have gone to the village to worship him, and then the person said that there is a one in my hotel.  chef is from the uttrakhand, he knows a little about this, tomorrow I will bring him, maybe to know why this is happening, Praveen's family immediately agreed and agreed to call that person  .

 After a day or two, the man brought the chef about whom he had told Praveen's family members, that person asked for some coins and rice and ashes as soon as he came, Praveen's mother lit rice and the ashes of incense sticks in the temple.  Giving it to the person, that person started doing his work, muttering something about all the above things, and then applied ash rice  on Praveen's father's forehead.

 Praveen's family was seeing all this happening for the first time, after  that person said to Praveen's mother, there is a wrath of the deity of your village, you probably never went there, so within six months go to the temple of the deity.  Come and worship me, everything will be fine, sir, you will start getting better from today itself, just come after worshiping within six months.

 By evening, Praveen's father started feeling very well, seeing this, Praveen's mother thanked God and decided that she would come after worshiping in the temple of god within six months, but the problem arose.  That they did not know the whereabouts of their village properly.

 Here Praveen's father was completely cured, just like before, seeing him now no one could say that he was very ill till a few days ago.

 Praveen's father wanted to go to the village as soon as possible to go to the temple and pray, so he asked one of his relatives who was settled in Delhi to talk to him and walk with him to the village, because none of Praveen's family members  , did not know about his village, Praveen's father had gone once, but that too in his childhood, he too did not remember the village now.

 After getting the consent of the relative of Delhi, Praveen's father decided to go to Uttarakhand and in this way he set out towards India, reached Delhi and went to his relative's house, and on the very next day left the vehicle towards the village.  First he had to reach Almora, and then his village was three hours away from there, being with relatives did not cause any problem, on the second day Praveen, Praveen's father left for the village to prepare for the worship.

 After traveling for three hours, all three reached the village, the village was situated one kilometer above the road, that is, the village had to be reached on foot, all three set out towards the village, Praveen saw that the surrounding views are very attractive, high and high  Mountains, greenery all around, he was mesmerized, he had never thought that his village could be so beautiful, he was finding it difficult to walk just a little, but the surrounding environment was such that it did not sting  was.

 Eventually all the three reached the village, the relative who came with them took them to his house, the house was of old style, made of hill style, still stood with its pride, relative told that he comes here every year in summer  So this house is still in good condition.

 After resting for sometime in the relative's house, Praveen's relative called the village head, and then talked about the things needed to be done in the village police station, the village head assured to make complete arrangements for the worship.  And took full responsibility.

 Praveen's father bid farewell to the family with the promise of coming to the village tomorrow, and returned to Almora again.

 Here Praveen liked the village so much that he was engrossed in his memories, as soon as the next morning, everyone left again towards the village, the villagers had made arrangements for their stay in the relative's house.

 The village head told that tonight the deity will be awakened and then the next day there will be worship in the temple.

 There was awakening in the night, deities were invoked, apologies were made for mistakes, and a promise to stay connected to their motherland, promised by Praveen's family, taking a vow to come and worship in the future.

 On the next morning everyone took a bath and went towards the temple with music, Praveen was intoxicated by the melody of drums, conch shells, his body was full of hair, it had never happened to him, he felt  It was as if he was in some other world, finally the journey reached Than temple.

 Praveen was stunned as soon as he saw the temple, because the huge temple he was imagining was a very small temple, he could not understand whether it was the temple, which had crossed the seven seas, his entire family.  He was surprised to see the power of this small temple.

 The worship started after reaching the temple, the whole village was involved in the worship, the worship was completed with pomp, Praveen's whole family was happy, in the evening Praveen's father called the villagers, and expressed his desire to do something for the village.  The village head told about the problem of school and water, Praveen's father then said, first of all, the road of one kilometer should be made as wide as the road, in which he will pay the cost, as well as the number of rooms needed in the school.  They should make and pipeline from the source they bring water for the water problem, so that water can reach the village, whatever expenses will be incurred in all these works will be borne by me, you guys will take two to four days.  Let me inform you about the expenditure on all these things.

 Hearing this, the whole village became happy, everyone started cheering Praveen's father, then Praveen's father said there is no such thing as cheering, my motherland has the right to do something for her people, from her capable son.  Ask to work, and I am doing the same.

 After spending half a week in the village, Praveen's father inaugurated the development plans of the village and returned to his work land, with the promise that he would come here in two to four years.

I wish if every such wealthy migrant thought for his native land, many villages would have been saved.
